Market Value (Trust Accounts)
Represents the total value of the assets and holdings, comprising
the category on the selected portfolio date. The calculation of the quantity
multiplied by the price to compute the value of the asset on the portfolio
date.
Merchant Authorizations
When you make certain point-of-sale purchases with your debit card,
the merchant will seek to authorize the transaction. (Note: This is especially
true where the final amount of the purchase is not known. Typical examples
include gas stations, hotels and rental cars.) This type of transaction will
include the term "Authorization" within its description on the Account Activity
screen. If we approve one of these authorizations, eventually, the merchant
will present the actual transaction for payment. Once the merchant has done so,
this amount will reduce your Current and Available Balances.
