Account Conversion Member FAQs

What does account conversion mean?

Account conversion is the process of transitioning legacy Horizon Community Bank (HCB) accounts and services to Arizona Financial's core banking systems. This conversion will provide members with many exciting benefits, like an expanded network of branches and ATMs, 24/7 account support, and new loan and account options.

What do I need to do to prepare?

To prepare for Account Conversion you should:

  1. Review the Account Conversion Guide.
  2. Obtain your Member Number and Account Number, which was mailed to the primary account owner in early March. Beginning April 3, you can also find this information inside online banking.
  3. Make note of any account changes, which are outlined on Page 15 of the Account Conversion Guide.
  4. Be aware of any system downtime during conversion weekend (March 31 - April 3.) See chart at top of this page.
  5. Activate your Visa debit card and begin using it on April 3. (Continue using your HCB debit card in the meantime.) You should receive your new debit card no later than March 27.
  6. On or after April 3, enroll in online and mobile banking.

Please contact us if you have any questions at 602-683-1724 or MemberSupport@azfcu.org.

Will I be receiving a new account number?

Yes, as part of the account conversion, you’ll be receiving a Member Number and new account number(s). This information was sent to the primary account owner in early March along with an Account Conversion Guide that provides answers to many of your questions.

Beginning April 3, you will be able to log in to online banking to retrieve your full account number to use for automated deposits, payments, and withdrawals. The Account Conversion Guide provides instructions for accessing this information inside online banking or you can view this tutorial.

When will I receive my new Visa® debit cards?

Debit cards will be mailed in mid-March and typically take 7-10 business days to arrive. Contact us at 602-683-1724 if you have not received your cards by March 27.

When should I activate and begin using my new Visa® debit card?

Please activate your card as soon as you receive it by calling 1-866-599-5615. You can begin using your new debit card on or after April 3.

In the meantime, continue using your HCB branded debit card.

When should I stop using my HCB debit card?

Stop using your old card on Sunday, April 2 at 11 p.m. Arizona time. During conversion weekend (March 31 - April 3), you may wish to have an alternate form of payment (e.g., cash, credit card) available. Although we do not anticipate any issues during the conversion process, it’s a good plan to have a backup form of payment on hand.

What about recurring transactions that use my old debit card?

On or after April 3, please provide your new card number to any vendors that use your old card number for recurring transactions (e.g., streaming services, health clubs, etc.).

Will my direct deposit and automatic withdrawals still work?

Yes, your direct deposit and ACH automatic withdrawals will continue to work. Although we will redirect these transactions for you, we recommend you give your new account number and Arizona Financials' routing number (322172797) to any person or company that automatically debits or credits your account. Wait to request these updates until after April 3, but we ask that you complete these changes by September 30, 2023.

If you have previously set up automatic or recurring transfers in your online banking profile, those will not carry over as part of the conversion. You can set those up beginning April 3. Once you log in online, click the Move Money link and follow the instructions.

What routing number should I use for wire transfers?

Please provide Arizona Financials' routing number (322172797) for all incoming wires. For more information visit here.

How do I access my accounts?

On or after April 3 you can:

  • Begin using your new Visa® debit card for purchases or to get cash from an ATM.
  • Log in to online banking or the mobile app. (Your initial login must be performed from a web browser – computer or phone browser – NOT through the mobile app.) Refer to the information you received by email and in the Account Conversion Guide for instructions.
  • Visit any Arizona Financial branch.
  • Call member services at 602-683-1000.

For questions specifically related to account conversion, please call 602-683-1724 or send an email to MemberSupport@azfcu.org.

Will my online and mobile banking login credentials be changing?

For most members, your username will not be changing. If it is changing, we will notify you in advance. A temporary password will be emailed to you the week of March 27. You’ll be prompted to change your password when you log in.

Beginning April 3, you will log in to your account at ArizonaFinancial.org by clicking on the yellow Log In button on the home page. (If you’re on a mobile device, click the menu bar to access the login button.)

Your initial login must be performed from a web browser (computer or phone browser), NOT through the mobile app. After your initial login, you can download and begin using the Arizona Financial mobile app.

Which branches and ATMs can I use?

Beginning April 3, you can visit any Arizona Financial branch for service.

You’ll also have access to nearly 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs that are part of the CO-OP ATM network. Visit the locations page to find the branches and ATMs nearest you.

Where can I learn more about using Treasury Management services?
